MyProSpot is a community site that helps people search, research and select businesses and service providers by providing consolidated business information such as official and regulatory data, customer feedback and reviews and business marketing material.
I developed the backed application in PHP and MySQL for MyProSpot from the ground up, using the Zend framework. Customers can search businesses, select and review businesses. Business owners can add their business, write a blog and create a site, choosing from dozens of templates and using an intuitive drag and drop interface to build their site, add pages and content. They can even point a domain name at their mini-site and use it as their main website. It involves integration with the PAF (Postcode address file) to search for postocde locations and plot businesses on a google map. IT also integrates with Companies House data to perform background checks on businesses.
